Tonight was the Catholic Student Association potluck for our week before Thanksgiving. We each brought a little something: chips, lasagna casserole (mine), a veggie casserole, corn, three types of cake, a pumpkin bread loaf, buffalo chicken dip, hot apple cider and enchiladas! More than that though, it was a time to eat and chat with friends about silly things and important things. It was nice to be able to go out and have a non-alcoholic great time with people who are like a family to me on the night before I head home to my own blood family for Thanksgiving.
There are many things to be thankful for in my life, so I think I should list just a few, because this blog overall tends to be more about my depressing religious struggles than anything:
*The Eucharist (literally means Thanksgiving)
*Friends
*Family
*Freedom
*Life (Getting up and breathing in the morning is a big accomplishment!)
*Health
*Opportunities
*Pokémon (I remember it fondly, and so did EVERYONE at the potluck!)
A small list sure, but it encompasses so many things! In case I don't post before the holiday, Happy Thanksgiving one and all!
