"To be purified in the fires of Lilith is to face your inner darkness and accept it, to come to grips with it", I was once told. To be purified in the fires of Lilith is to accept your darkest tendencies and realize, they're not so bad.
Well they are. We are called to be purified with the waters of baptism and the fire of the Holy Spirit; later the fires of purgation after we die. We are called to be purified of our sins, to draw our focus inwards and to confess them with our mouth...because it is difficult to give an accounting of what we have, but easy to bury it.
To accept your inner darkness is to bury your sins, to embrace them, and to take the easy path. So why not take the road less traveled, the road of Confession?
