The Mass

There's something about the Mass that I can't just place, the overwhelming presence of God. I don't understand those who merely sit at the moment of transubstantiation...for I fall to my knees. It is the most powerful feeling, when the bread and wine become body and blood.

I feel truly at peace, which is good. Flight, for all my bravado to the new Alpha Phi Sigma members, is not my favorite mode of travel. Should the plane crash for some reason or another, I shall be glad to know I will awake in Purgatory. That I will one day hear Him call to me, and I will embrace that for eternity.

When small, when older, throughout my life really...I have feared the prospect of my own death. I've not really had a bad attack of that since my conversion to Catholicism. It's a wonderful feeling...
