12 Years Later

"We are not the same people we were 12 years and 1 day ago".  One of the speakers at the 9/11 memorial service in Shanksville, PA said that earlier today.  I cannot help but pause to reflect upon those words, and how much it can mean.  The world has changed in so many ways.  A generation has known only war. A generation has never known an airport where you didn't have the TSA screening every passenger in order to "protect" them.  A generation has never known a world without 9/11 and to them it has become as the Kennedy assassination has become to my generation and as Pearl Harbor became to my parents' generation.
