In honor of Ostara, a little post for my beta-reader who kindly informed me I was going to Hell over "Christ Cultists". Yes man, this post is just for you, and you aren't beta reading this one...
In the Holy Bible, we are told, Exodus 20: 2-3 tells us "You will have no other gods before me". Classically, this is interpreted as being that you will have made a "god" out of something, like say, cash, or lust. You can make just about anything into a god, but I don't really tend to take to this theory, as the rest of the Ten Commandments do not bare this out that well. For example, in Exodus 20: 17 tells us not to covet others possessions.
To covet, would be to create a 'god' in a way, to worship. That would be worshiped in the place of the one true God. No, I see this commandment of having no other gods before him, to be, that we should not worship other gods.
So yes, I do believe they exist. Do I believe them to be more powerful than my own? No. Do I believe they can and will act in people's lives? Yes.

Interesting. I have questions:
Did God create those other gods? If not, where did they come from? If they, like the Christian God, have always existed, what makes the Christian God superior to them?
Do you think I worship the same god you do, or one of the others?
You never ask easy questions do you? Though I suppose they wouldn't be any fun to ask, or worth asking, if they were easy.
So I'll be blunt. I believe He created those other gods. As for if we worship the same God? I don't really know. I've been asking myself that before actually.
