When I zone out

From my final essay question in Terrorism:

The sins of the fathers, the West, continue to be a specter upon the continent of Africa to this very day. We withdrew after centuries of occupation, and expected them to form their own governments, to bury millenia of tribal resentments, and work together for a utopic vision of the world that the West had not been able to achieve. Is it any surprise then, that genocide, the worst of the West's sins would come to haunt the savannahs and jungles?
