I am a fan of the old 90s television show Babylon 5. It's science fiction, which means a number of people dismiss it without a second thought. However, it is often touching in a way.
It's a five year arc that covers the relationships of individuals on a space station and the rise and fall of empires. When I can think of it later, I'd love to make a post in depth about it, and this is to remind me.
